Belt Drive
The Formula I® Whisper Drive® Garage Door Opener is the ultimate drive system! This premium model goes to the head of the class with its high-strength polyurethane belt reinforced with sturdy, flexible steel cords. It resists the flexing and tensioning of day-in, day-out opener cycling, resulting in years of high performance operation.
For greater security, these doors utilize Security+® rolling code technology. Each time the remote is activated, Security+ automatically rolls the code over to any one of 100-billion new codes, never to be repeated. The patented PosiLockTM feature ensures that once your garage door goes down, it is securely locked and an intruder cannot gain entry by forcing it open. For safe operation, the Protector System®, projects an invisible light beam across the inside of the garage door opening. If anything interrupts the beam while the door is going down, the door automatically reverses before making contact.
The belt drive is also equipped with Lift-Master's exclusive Motor Vibration Isolation System (MVIS™) the latest breakthrough in garage door opener noise reduction. This revolutionary "floating motor" design eliminates powerhead vibration, resulting in the smoothest, quietest performance available today.
